How to Encourage People to Give More?

“Charity degrades those who receive it and hardens those who dispense it,” said Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin, a French novelist, memoirist, and journalist. She is best known by her pen name George Sand.

Giving back to the community can be rewarding too. If you are passionate to help others and making their life much better than giving back is the best option. It is not important that you need only money for donations; you can donate anything that you think can be helpful to others. Also, encourage your surroundings to donate something to make a difference in the community.

If you support a charity and its cause then a single donation cannot be much helpful, try to encourage others by helping them understand their social and moral responsibility. Marc Kielburger is the founder of WE Charity and is very passionate about helping people who are in need of help.

Here are some ways to encourage people to give more:

Appeal to those who already support you:

Many people have already decided which charity organization they want to support and what cause motivates them to donate to the charity. If you have your favorite charity then take the help of social media to promote the good works of that charity, you can put a post on Facebook or you can tweet on Twitter. The more people see your post, the more they will be able to connect with the cause. Try to encourage people who already support you and request them to donate more so that it can maximize the impact of donations and can offer better support to those who are in need.

What’s the story?

Other than people who are already supporting you, if you want to encourage new people who don’t know much about the charity and the causes they are offering support then create a story of your organization in such a way that it can encourage people both emotionally and mentally about the cause you are trying to support. Make sure to write complete information about the charity organization that you support and what type of work they do, what type of events and campaigns they organize, and many other things related to the charity. This will encourage them to out their involvement in supporting your charity.

Keep people informed:

It can be really surprising to see how many people come in front to support your cause if you are able to inspire them effectively. When the people offer donations to the charity, make sure to provide complete information about how their donations are going to put a possible impact on the cause. Provide them regular updates about how close you are to achieving your targets. This will allow people to have trust in the organization and they will donate more and stay loyal to the organization.
